“When we moved to Victoria, Texas, we moved with the idea that we would only be here for two years. Two turned into eight and with that came the realization that this was going to be a long term stay. While adjusting to our new home town, we still didn’t feel at home. Our house was just a house, a building with four walls and a roof. I decided that needed to change and I began to work on turning our house into a home, a place where we enjoyed to be. Through this process I immersed myself in everything design. I read, researched, and practiced until I felt confident enough to implement the things that I had learned into our home. Turning our house into a home taught me that decorating is an expression of love. When a house transforms into a home, it becomes an expression of those who dwell in it.
In the design process, I like to find out who you are, what you and your family enjoy doing, and how the spaces are used.”
